Antique show portland expo center12/10/2023 ![]() ![]() Vintage items typically depend on supply and demand. The value that our experts give you is what your item would bring if you sold it in a retail setting such as at a show, over the web or in a shop. The word 'value' has many definitions, ranging from insurance (replacement) value to forced liquidation (you need to pay the rent and have to sell that item today). At the show, for $5 per object, you'll get a verbal market evaluation. The show hires accredited experts that would normally cost you $125 an hour to tell you what you have and what it's worth. You'll find plenty of vintage men's watches too. This particular show has quite a bit to chose from: Gary Germer & Associates, Silver Bear Antiques, Pacific Jewelry, Carole Kabot Antiques, G/M Galleries, Brown Bear Antiques, Hunter's Antiques, Island Trading Co., Millridge Antiques and more. And compared to jewelry store prices, you're much more likely to find pieces that have character and value for much less than you would think. R & R Antiques is located in Row K, Booths 11.Įstate jewelry is such a compelling category and is another of the most popular today. R & R Antiques, local dealers from Amboy, are another fine company with Victorian pieces such as stick and ball and that beautiful scale at the top of the page. Hobbit Antiques is located in Row J, Booths 1022 & 1023. Mark Grimshaw, second generation dealer with Hobbit Antiques from Naches, Washington, always brings the best, ranging from dining sets, ornate china & curio cabinets all from the early 1900s. With vintage decorative items being one of the most popular ways to decorate your home, we are pleased to be able to offer some of the best turn of the century American oak in the country. Gary and Susan Thorn will present a wide variety of items including a vintage side saddle, a wonderful doll house, jewelry, Bauer and things any inveterate collector would find in their attic. Gary Martin has been collecting a mix of USAF and USN flight helmets fron the 40's to the 70's for some time and has just started to sell a few. One of our new exhibitors is bringing some very interesting and unusual items including this US WW1 1918 L,F & C Cavalry Saber. Original period lighting an important part of decorating in vintageįind out what your treasures are worth at the show A small sampling includes turn-of-the-century furniture, antique toys, Victorian d�cor, vintage clothing, holiday collectibles (including Christmas), garden antiques, oddities, estate jewelry, p op culture, vintage clothing, glass, china, pottery, paintings, vintage prints, radios from the 30s-50s, movie memorabilia, sports, cast iron, mid-century, sterling flatware matching, framed vintage prints, costume jewelry, estate jewelry, coins, well you get the idea. There aren't too many categories that aren't well represented and again, the fun of the hunt makes that discovery a lot more fun. If you're a DIYer, the resources are throughout this event for old lighting, decorating and just making something unique and different. All we can guarantee is that it will be vintage. This is one of those browsing shows where you never know what's around the next corner.
